OVERVIEW
Maxicrete is an economical, 2-component, permanent waterproofing system for concrete and masonry. It is ideal for use in areas which are dimensionally stable, such as foundations, facades, retaining walls, etc.
It is especially recommended for waterproofing concrete and masonry substrates of bathrooms, kitchens and
roofs, prior to tiling works. It is applied by brush, roller or spray and after drying can be walked on uncovered.
After application the Maxicrete system forms a tough, durable waterproof coating.
PROPERTIES
Maxicrete is supplied as a two component, powder (cement based) and resin (acrylic based)system, to be mixed on site.
Maxicrete Resin:
Maxicrete resin is based on acrylic resins, resistant to alkalinity.
Maxicrete Powder:
Maxicrete powder is based on special cements and precisely graded fillers, wetting and adhesion promoters.
ADVANTAGES
- Easy to mix and apply
- Seamless permanent waterproofing
- Tough durable coating
- Good adhesion to dimensionally substrates
- Vapour permeable
- No water addition required
AREA OF USE
Maxicrete is suitable for waterproofing concreteand masonry substrates in the following areas:
- Bathroom & kitchen floors

APPLICATION & CLEANING OF TOOLS
Application Condition:
Do not apply above 40ºC or below 5ºC. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours of application.
Mixing and Application Procedure:
Mix the components in the ratio shown in the technical data and apply in 2 to 3 coats to achieve an overall thickness of 1.4 – 2.0 mm, with total material consumption of 2.5-3.8 kg/m 2 (for under tile application: 1.4 to 1.6mm & for exposed areas: 1.80 to 2.00mm total application thickness is recommended) Add powder to resin and use a high speed mixer with spiral head attachment to achieve a lump free homogeneous mix. Apply using brush, roller or spray. If spraying, add only enough water to bring to the correct sprayable consistency.
Leave a minimum of 4 – 6 hours between coats.Mixed Maxicrete must be used within 1 hour of mixing (do not re-temper with additional water).
